The objective of the Design was to create a contemporary church with subtle reference to the greek orthodox architecture.

 

The church is conceived in pure, simple forms composed by successive ascending and arched vails, connected by membrane like glass, thus giving a feeling of lightness.

The plan, in a cross like form with a culminant central arch symbolizing the sky, and the dome of the arched sanctuary, refer to elements of the traditional religious architecture.

The classical characteristics of symmetry and centrality give a sense of serenity and stability, while the natural light coming through the higher gaps of the ascending arches enhance the feelings and symbolic of Christian spirituality.
