The project is located in a mainly residential area, on a secondary road of Kato – Pafo.

The client’s brief consisted of rearranging the ground floor of the existing house, into a 2 bedroom apartment at the back , and a store at the front of the building, situated on the main road.

 

The main intention was to put the accent on the store façade, and make it attractive and “eye catching” for the passengers, while keeping the same simple shell for the rest of the building.

A folding, continuous, prominent strip, frames the commercial front part of the building , masking part of the service entrances and back, more private residential unit.

The walls , ceiling , floor and window sill become a single continuous, dynamic, oblique gesture, standing out, in opposition to the simplicity of the rest of the building.
